The level design brand was created specifically to reinvent our company's vision forward and open creative new doors that move us into the future. "A fresh new start for our national publishing ventures in which we operate", says John Kilbourne. "it feel like my design ideals have become more dynamic and original when we reinvented ourselves".
Kilbourne's work is nationally acclaimed for the best design in the west coast region and best custom home design in the US, juried among over 5000 entrants, through the National Association of Home Builders in 1997. The firm has won several MAME awards for Best Affordable Community, Best Master Suite and Best Home Design from the King/Snohomish County Master Builders Association. Many awards for the Pierce County "Street of Dreams" such as Best of Show, People Choice Award, Best Master Suite and Special Judges Awards during 1995-2005. John has personally designed well over 5000 homes in the Pacific Northwest working with custom clients as well as production builders.
John, formed the Tacoma Design Market in 2001. Offering a complete one stop studio including residential design, structural engineering, interior design and interior finishes as a package complete for customer convenience.
We have developed a plan library with over 5000 plans that can be tailored to fit your specifications, including Engineering and permit processing. Level Design has a huge portfolio of pre-designed plans that are published and sold all over the country. We are a great affordable source of house plans for home builders or first-time home buyers.

JOHN KILBOURNE

John has enthusiastically designed homes in the Pacific Northwest for over 30 years.
He takes pride in his skill and ability to listen to his clients closely and create designs that are both aesthetically appealing and fit within the established budget.
We are home designers and many of our clients are home builders, so over the years we have been able to simplify the building process with detailed plans that are easy to understand by sub-contractors and simple to build, saving our clients time and money.
We listen to our clients, develop creative functional design concepts, and deliver dream homes.

SOTHEA MEY
PROJECT / PRODUCTION MANAGER
Sothea brings over 25 years of on-site field operation and construction management experience working through the development process from pricing, material selection to coordinating the completion of the building process.
His background in construction enables him to draft and create builder friendly construction documents with his expertise in Auto CAD, while managing our skilled team.
He also has extensive knowledge of various building code requirements from all of the local city, county building departments in the Pacific Northwest.
NOP LAM
PROJECT / PRODUCTION MANAGER
Nop has over 20 years of Auto CAD drafting experience and specializes in producing detailed construction documents, transferring Structural Engineering notes, developing site plans and modifying existing stock plans.
SAM SAROEUN
PROJECT ASSOCIATE
Sam joined Level Design in 2012, specializing in home designs for new construction and existing single family homes. Including additions and custom homes for multiple jurisdictions in Washington State. As a certified computer aided drafter, his background and knowledge in residential allow him to perform a wide range of tasks, including permit submittal, construction document preparation, as-built survey, home energy code compliance, and project management. Sam also works with builder clients on numerous sub divisions and townhouse developments ranging from six to seventy lot sub divisions.
As a native to the Pacific Northwest. In his free time, Sam enjoys time with his family, hiking, snowboarding, trying exotic foods, and traveling.
